China's weekly export container shipping index declines 2.6pc
ACCORDING to the Shanghai Shipping Exchange, China's index of export container transport experienced a decline during the week ending on June 30, reports Xinhua.
The average China Containerised Freight Index (CCFI) dropped 2.6 per cent compared to the previous week, reaching a value of 895.72, as reported by the shipping exchange.
However, there was a notable exception to this trend, as the sub-index for the Australia/New Zealand service recorded a week-on-week increase of 1.6 per cent.
The CCFI serves as a tracking measure for spot and contractual freight rates from Chinese container ports, encompassing 12 shipping routes worldwide. The data utilized in the index is sourced from 22 international carriers.
